Quality Versus Price

Recently, DCL Creative made the decision to prioritize quality over price. This has not always been the case.  Over the last 15 years of making discs we’ve serviced all strata of the market.  Focusing mostly on the minimal, cost effective options.  Our clients at the time was academia, retail and education.  We still service these industries through specialty products like USB drives and streaming devices.  For artist and musicians we want to do something special.   To make for them bespoke, memorable, collectable items.

Quality Materials

Out with the old, in with the new.  The older plastic jewel cases are being phased out and replace with the the Eco-Packs.  It consist of virtually no plastic but are very steady.  Eco-packs are compact but have an awesome quality feel.  We select the optimum thickness board and everything comes with a luxurious satin finish.

Quality Control

As part of the move to a more satisfying product, all printing and finishing of a particular order is done at the same premise.  This was not always the case.  Graphics can now be better matched between the different elements.

Duplicated media are thoroughly tested with software and manual spot checks are performed.  Each unit is visually inspected in the assembly stage of manufacturing.

Budget

Remember to allocate funds  for media duplication, graphic design and promotion right at the start of a project.  The same is true for time.  Often when it comes to “real world” production no thought is given to the time and money it takes to give your art the platform and exposure it deserves. 

Price Promise

We will try to match any quote!  That’s not always possible given the high quality standards that we hold our-self to.   We will, however, add value with our ancillary services like graphic design, digital integration, promotional materials etc..
